Starship Technologies Announces New Reproductive Healthcare Benefit for U.S. Employees

Company will offer employees access to comprehensive reproductive care and the power of choice

SAN FRANCISCO (June 30, 2022) – Starship Technologies, the world’s leading provider of autonomous delivery services, today announced a trio of new benefits for U.S. employees in light of last week’s decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade. Starship firmly believes in an individual’s power of choice – the right to choose what is appropriate healthcare for the individual’s mind, body and physical well-being.

The new benefits will provide paid leave for travel to the nearest state for reproductive care and support, paid volunteer/rally time to assist one’s community in addition to observing Election Day (November 9th) as a US company holiday to encourage its employees to go vote. The new benefit related to paid leave for travel will be available to any U.S. employee who lives in a state with restricted or no access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare and support.

There are strong and passionate supporters on both sides of the Supreme Court decision and we understand not all of our employees will support this decision. However, Starship recognizes the potential impact of this ruling on its teammates for years to come. The safety and well-being of Starship’s employees is the company’s number one priority.
