Cambridge Service Update

At Starship, we’re committed to ongoing innovation, enhancing both our technology and service. So we wanted to update you on our next development phase as we strive for further advances in autonomous delivery.

On March 1st, we will pause deliveries from Perne Road and Cherry Hinton Co-ops. Work will then begin in Cambourne to install wireless charging for Starship robots.

Wireless charging is more energy-efficient, allowing our bots to charge up overnight, while they’re sleeping, on-site. This means a further reduction in local CO2 emissions by removing the need for van transportation, while also ensuring prompt service at the start of each day.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause. For an alternative home delivery solution from Perne Road or Cherry Hinton, please tap the link to Co-op’s website here

Since we started delivering in Cambridgeshire, we’ve been staggered by the support our robots have received. For this we can’t thank you enough for continually helping us to demonstrate the benefits of battery-powered robot deliveries to the world.
