Wireless Charging Q&A

  • What kind of space are you looking for?

    Commercial buildings with spare, unused space at the front or back of the property. Could be a car park space you don't need, or a back yard. Even a small space to the side your front door. This space must have direct access to the main pavement, so robots can come and go (to sleep) when they need to.

  • How much space do the robots need?

    There are a few options - depending on the amount of free space you have available - for a 2, 3 or 4 robot unit. For easy reference, a 2 robot unit is about the width of a single car park space, and half the length.

    2-4 robots can also be installed at a freestanding unit, without the need for a back wall:

  • How long does charging take?

    Each robot typically occupies a charging station for approximately 6 hours for a full charge.  Night-time charging is prioritised, with off-peak hours used for top-up charging. 

  • How often will my company be paid?


    Starship will a pay monthly rent for the space, including extra electricity costs.
