We’ve paused deliveries from these stores and a few hot food merchants. Fast work is now underway to install wireless charging for Starship robots, and we expect the work to be completed within two weeks. Meanwhile, our little robots continue to deliver from all other stores!
Wireless charging is more energy-efficient, allowing robots to charge up overnight, while they’re sleeping, closer to stores. This means a further reduction in CO2 emissions by removing the need for van transportation, while also ensuring prompt service at the start of each day.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause. If your local store is affected, we will send you an email and push notification when service is back up and running.
