Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Starship Technologies is developing the future of delivery – self-driving robots that bring parcels, groceries and food to people around the world.

We have entered commercial pilots with hundreds of robots driving along sidewalks across the United States and four countries in Europe. Soon we hope there will be thousands of delivery robots around the world.

Building the backend that powers a rapidly growing fleet of robots is a challenge unlike any other. Scalable near real-time backend applications, reliable infrastructure on top of the public cloud, handling live telemetry across multiple channels, optimal encoding of real-time discrete, geometric and optical safety data, low latency network routing, server-side compute to run mathematical map-making optimizers and connecting to autonomous Linux powered devices driving on sidewalks… just to name a few.

Come invent the world with us!

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Motivated by building world-class systems to solve business needs
  • Experienced in building infrastructure and application monitoring/logging/telemetry solutions
  • Experienced in practical infrastructure security and implementation – public cloud and devices
  • Excellent at troubleshooting
  • Fluent in TCP/IP networks – both on infrastructure and application level
  • Interested in solving problems by code rather than human processes
  • Excited about tackling a good challenge in an unconventional technical environment

Useful qualifications include:

  • Curiosity and broad knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills with ability to distinguish important from urgent, having a proactive mindset
  • Experience with international teams
  • Experience on application development and software architecture
  • Experience on database management

Job specifics:

  • Full time with a 4 month trial period
  • Location: Tallinn, Estonia
